The University of New Mexico (UNM) has announced the appointment of Shawna Wolfe as the new vice president for Institutional Support Services (ISS). According to a press release by UNM, Wolfe will lead the largest division within the organization and oversee a dedicated team of professionals.
Wolfe brings a wealth of experience to her new role. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Interior Architecture and Management from Ohio University. Currently, she serves as the associate vice president for University Planning at Ohio University.
Effective December 1, Wolfe will assume her new position at UNM. In her role as vice president for ISS, she will have oversight of various areas, including campus environments, facilities, and campus business services.
“I am excited to join The University of New Mexico and honored by the opportunity to collaborate and partner with the ISS team, the campus and communities that this university calls home and serve towards its mission,” said Shawna Wolfe according to a press release by UNM.
The selection of Wolfe followed a rigorous national search, supported by the executive search firm WittKieffer and managed by an internal search committee. Kate Becker, CEO of UNM Hospitals, chaired the search committee. Becker expressed her enthusiasm about Wolfe's appointment, stating, "The search committee is enthusiastic about the choice of Ms. Wolfe, and we all eagerly anticipate collaborating with her when she joins UNM. Shawna's passion for higher education and our mission was evident throughout the interview process."
With her extensive experience and leadership skills, Shawna Wolfe is poised to make a significant impact as the new vice president for Institutional Support Services at the University of New Mexico.
