Albuquerque residents and art enthusiasts have something exciting to look forward to as the South Broadway Cultural Center prepares to showcase the "Nortesur" exhibition by renowned artist Luis Fitch. The exhibition, which opens on September 14, offers a unique glimpse into Fitch's artistic journey, from his upbringing along the Tijuana-San Diego border to his current status as a globally recognized Mexican artist living in the U.S.

Fitch's limited-edition oversized art prints captivate viewers with their vibrant colors, stark contrasts, and intricate Mexican contemporary themes. Through his artwork, Fitch explores the tension between developing and industrialized nations, creating a visual representation of the cross-cultural perspective that defines his work. In addition to Fitch's prints, the exhibition also features collaborative works by three local artists who participated in a printmaking workshop at the Tamarind Institute.

The public is invited to view the exhibition, which runs until October 14, free of charge at the South Broadway Cultural Center gallery, open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
