Bernalillo County officials said a recent customer engagement survey conducted at BernCo @ Alvarado Square yielded favorable responses from customers and visitors entering the county building at 415 Silver Ave SW. The survey was conducted through May and focused on various aspects of the visitor experience, a county press release said.

“Any and everyone who walks into our lobby is warmly greeted and assisted,” says Bernalillo County Manager Julie Morgas Baca, according to the press release. “We know these results would not be possible without our hardworking customer service team.”

The survey included six inquiries centered around topics such as access to complimentary county parking, facility hygiene, staff service quality, and county operation timings, the press release said. Bernalillo County received strong marks in terms of cleanliness and customer service, with approximately 94% of the 444 respondents rating these aspects as exceptional. This survey marked the third instance of conducting a six-month customer engagement assessment.

During the County Commission meeting on Aug. 8, the efforts of the customer service team were acknowledged as part of BernCo's "Count on Us Minute." The segment showcases employees who exceed their regular responsibilities and contribute exceptional dedication to their roles, the press release said.

Since the inauguration of BernCo @ Alvarado Square in 2021, more than 163,000 visitors and customers have visited the facility, the press release said.

Spanning an area of 1,160 square miles, Bernalillo County is the largest county in New Mexico and boasts a population of more than 676,000 residents. Serving the communities of Albuquerque, Los Ranchos, and Tijeras, the county government offers a comprehensive array of public services, while approximately 106,000 residents reside in unincorporated regions, the press release said.
