Andrea Chavez Barreras, age 95, born in Polvadera, New Mexico and a resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away on April 28, 2023. Mrs. Barreras is survived by her six children, Pete Barreras and wife, Donna of San Antonio, Texas, Vivian Barreras and wife, Albinita of Denver, Colorado, Margaret Barboa and husband David, Barbara Miller, Andra Ponce and husband, Toby, and Angel Barreras all of Albuquerque, New Mexico; twelve grandchildren; thirty-six great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; siblings, Rosie Chavez, Rachel Hutchison, Eddie Chavez, Priscilla Edwards; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie G. Barreras; grandson, Luther Miller; siblings, Jimmy Chavez, Aristeo Chavez, Richard Chavez, Louie Chavez, Pedro Chavez, Belia Trujillo, and Dorothy Dupree Visitation will be held on Wednesday May 10, 2023, at 6:30 p.m. in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel 1000 Old Coors Dr. SW with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Thursday, May 11, 2023 at 9:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church Father Patrick presiding. Interment will follow the services at Fairview Memorial Park Cemetery 700 Yale Blvd. SE. Pallbearers will be Keith Bowman, Chris Miller, Carlos Ponce, Toby Ponce, Steve Ponce, Mervin Martinez. Honorary Pallbearers will be Scott Brandt and Kris Miller.
