Obituary
Gladys S. Platero, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother went home with the Lord at the age of 93, on Saturday, March 11, 2023, at her home in Tóhajillee, N.M. She will be remembered by the Navajo Hymns she sang, her unconditional love for God and family, and her pristine weaving skills were like no other. Gladys is survived by her 9 children, Maryann Mexicano, and husband, Larry Mexicano, MaryJane Hesuse and husband, Melvin Hesuse, Robert K. Platero and wife, Jeanette Platero, Roseann Yazzie and husband, Roger Yazzie, Joey Platero and wife, Lori Platero, Clarence Platero, Virginia Prins and husband, Trenton Prins, David Platero, Flora Cremar and husband, Hector Cremar; and daughter in-law Casandra Davis-Platero. Gladys has 44 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. On Monday, March 20, 2023, a Visitation will be held at FRENCH- University, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Services will be held at her residence in Tóhajilee, N.M., at 1:00 p.m. The family would like to thank everyone for all their thoughts and prayers.
