Joel Adrian Martinez, age 84, born in Contreras, New Mexico and a resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away on January 13, 2023. Mr. Martinez is survived by his son Roland Gomez and wife, Selia; five grandchildren, Adrian Gomez and wife, Melissa, Mario Gomez and girlfriend, Valerie, Savannah Luce and husband, Bryan, Sarah Allred and husband, Joseph, and Stewart Burnett and wife Zaryah; twelve great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Corine, and son Sam Gomez. Visitation for Mr. Martinez will be held in The Gabaldon Memorial Chapel 1000 Old Coors Dr. S.W. on Tuesday January 24, 2023, with a Rosary to be recited by Alice Martinez and Bernice Castillo at 6:00 p.m. Final visitation will be held at St Elizabeth Catholic Church in Edgewood (on the corner of 344 N and Woods End, #85 in Edgewood NM 87015) on Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at 9:30 a.m. with Mass to follow at 10:00a.m. Interment will follow at the Martinez Cemetery in Martinez, New Mexico. Pallbearers will be Marty Lopez, Rick Naranjo, Lawrence Perea, Joe Marquez, Paul Marujo Jr. and David Martinez. Honorary Pallbearer is Meliton Martinez.
