A juvenile missing since 2021 was safely recovered by US Marshals in New Mexico.
The missing juvenile was recovered following the arrest of Yordan Hernandez-Perez, according to a KRQE report.
“Recovering a missing child is absolutely the biggest priority for our agency,” New Mexico’s District US Marshal Sonya K. Chavez told KRQE. “Returning this child to safety and bringing the subject to Justice were possible through good partnerships and solid investigation.”
The juvenile had been missing since December 2021, according to the report. The connection to Hernandez-Perez was unclear. Hernandez-Perez was wanted for trafficking a controlled substance with intent to distribute and resisting arrest. Police also recovered a stolen firearm and multiple rounds of ammunition.
