Obituary
Robert Lee Metheny passed away peacefully in his home in Albuquerque New Mexico on Saturday, November 12, 2022.
After his wife passed away in April, his girls surrounded him with love and care to give him the best quality of life possible. He was born in Huntington, West Virginia on Saturday, July 8, 1939.
Robert served in the Army from 1960 to 1964. He enjoyed taking family vacations, bowling, fishing, playing bingo, and going to the casinos.
Robert is survived by his loving daughters, Roberta Sena, Tammy Metheny, and Christina Metheny; three grandchildren, Joseph Sena and wife Stephanie, Stephanie Sena, and Jessica Metheny; two great-grandchildren, Oaklei and Landon Sena; sister, Joann Kalas; and sister-in-law, Viola Metheny. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Lou Metheny; his parents, Donald Ralph Metheny Sr. and Mildred Johnson; and brothers, Sonny Metheny and Charles Metheny.
Robert’s life will be celebrated Thursday, December 15, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd NE, Albuquerque, New Mexico.
