Obituary of Karie Michelle Dumler

Karie Michelle Dumler, 54, passed away early in the week of August 8, 2022.  She was born in Tucson, Arizona, to William and Paulette Meador and, at the age of 14 was adopted into a loving home by the Laughlin family.  After graduation from high school, Karie moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico. She had a tough life as a child and, because of it, developed a resilience and toughness that prepared her for all of life’s challenges, all the way through her final battle for good health.  Despite her tough childhood, Karie also developed a bubbly and friendly nature with a smile that drew people to her. Karie enjoyed life and Snoopy, snow globes, jewelry, candles, tea, movies, cooking, crocheting, and giving to others.  The tiny baby hats that she crocheted and donated are soft tangible expressions of her loving kindness and generosity.  Most importantly, Karie loved the Lord and her son, Brenden Laughlin, of whom she was extremely proud; she was his best cheerleader. Karie was preceded in death by her father Ed Laughlin and birth mother Paulette Meador, and is survived in life by her son Brenden Laughlin; mother Carolyn Laughlin; godmother Karla Poe; birth father William Meador; five sisters; and many nieces and nephews.
