SPECIAL FINANCE COMMITTEE / BUDGET HEARINGS MEETING

1. CALL TO ORDER

Budget Hearings started at 1:03 pm.

3. APPROVAL OF AGENDA

MOTION: Councilor Lindell moved, seconded by Councilor Cassutt, to approve the agenda as presented.

VOTE: The motion was approved on the following Roll Call vote:

For: Councilor Lindell, Councilor Romero-Wirth, Councilor Rivera, Councilor Cassutt, Councilor Villarreal

Against: None

Abstain: None

4. CHAIR OPENING REMARKS

Councilor Romero-Wirth presented opening remarks.

5. DEPARTMENT REVIEWS

a. Overview

Finance Director Mary McCoy gave an overview of the FY 23 Budget. Dr. Reilly White with Erebor LLC., presented an Economic Outlook orientation for Santa Fe for 2022-2023.

Assistant Finance Director, Alexis Lotero and Brad Fluetsch, Cash and Investment Planning Officer, presented Revenue overview for FY22 and projected FY 2023.

Andy Hopkins, Budget Officer presented an Expenditures Overview. Mary McCoy, Finance Director presented FY 23 Budget Highlights.

b. Public Utilities

The Public Utilities presentation by Director Shannon Jones, Shirlene Sitton, Michael Dozier, Jesse Roach, Nancy Jiminez.

MOTION: Councilor Lindell moved, seconded by Councilor Cassutt, to approve the Public Utilities Budget as presented.

VOTE: The motion was approved on the following Roll Call vote:

For: Councilor Lindell, Councilor Romero-Wirth, Councilor Rivera, Councilor Cassutt, Councilor Villarreal

Against: None

Abstain: None

c. Unions

Mr. Trujillo representing the Santa Fe Police, Local 2059 (representing Fire Department union employees) and Therese Martinez and Louis Demella with AFSCME expressed their thanks for the salary increase for City employees forthcoming and further expressed additional Budgetary needs and concerns.
