Shelter Staff made the following comments about this animal:

Princess has come so far. After her guardian could no longer care for her, Princess arrived at SFAS, and her adjustment was hard. But she is a very smart dog and learned the routine quickly. Princess knows “sit” and is easy to harness. She loves walks of all length and is great on leash. She loves people but is not a fan of other dogs, and she’s affectionate without being a slobbery face licker. So why is a great dog like Princess still here, month after month? There is a lot of competition in shelters, especially for black and and white American Pit Bull Terriers—even happy ones with sparkling coats and a white tipped-tail like Princess. The right owner for Princess just needs to discover this girl’s qualities and give her a chance to be loved, and they’ll be rewarded with a wonderful companion. Princess is 6 years old and weighs about 65 pounds.

Princess's adoption fee has been paid for by Mrs. Vigil's class at Nina Otero Community School. She is spayed and microchipped and has age-appropriate vaccinations. A licensing/microchip fee may apply.

SFAS offers a variety of excellent training classes, seminars and Trainer Talks led by animal behavior professionals. These are $50 off for animals adopted from any shelter or rescue group!
