A New Mexico woman apparently hasn’t learned how to play with kids.

Danelda Silva, 23, was arrested for a second time accused of contributing to the delinquency of minors, according to a KRQE report. Silva, police said, drove around Socorro last October with teens, shooting out windows with slingshots.

They reportedly caused thousands of dollars of damage to at least six businesses and two cars and injured at least one person.

Police said surveillance video from the damaged businesses showed a white sedan was involved while a window at a Conoco gas station was broken. Police soon stopped a white Pontiac driven by Silva with six teenagers in the car, most of them minors, according to the KRQE report.

Police reportedly found pellets in the car and pressed the teens on whether they had any weapons.

“Who’s got the slingshot? If I find it on you, you’re going with them. If you hand them to me, you’re not,” one police officer reportedly said before two teens pulled slingshots from under their clothes. At that point, Silva was arrested and detained at the Socorro Police Department while the teens were picked up by family members.

Silva is facing four felony charges of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and six felony counts of criminal damage to property.

This isn’t the first time Silva is facing charges. She is currently awaiting trial, accused of encouraging two boys to shoplift meat from a local supermarket in 2019. Those two teens appear to be involved in this latest incident and appear to live with Silva’s sister.

After the October vandalism spree, Silva paced in the cell at the Socorro Police Department as the teens were picked up by family members.
