Frenchish, a French restaurant in Nob Hill, is requiring customers to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination before entering the establishment.

While some individuals have expressed opposition in online comments, KOB4 reports many are happy about the mandate.

“Our customers have been super supportive,” Frenchish co-owner Jennifer James told KOB4. “I think the boycotters never came in the first place, and we've had lots of phone calls saying, 'We're coming now, for sure'.”

James said business at the restaurant has not been negatively impacted by its COVID-19 vaccine requirement.

Statewide, some who remain unvaccinated cite religious exemptions to avoid losing their employment. Court battles over vaccination mandates are occurring in Florida, Arizona and New York.
