Last week, an initiative centered on women celebrating the beauty of New Mexico brought John Quinones of Good Morning America to New Mexico, KOAT reported

While in the state, Quinones was able to spend a significant amount of time in Santa Fe.

Quinones spoke about his experience in the state in glowing terms, saying, "Such a blast. I want to stay here forever now. I drove up the Turquoise Toil. We went to the Diablo Canyon, we talked to businesses and restaurants...It's just been a blast."

John Quinones rode into the Santa Fe plaza, and roasted some chili "in true New Mexico fashion," KOAT reported. He engaged in local culture and explored the city. Santa Fe Mayor Alan Webber said that everyone showed up in pride to show off the city's history and culture.

Quinones did a live report on Aug. 6 during GMA on Santa Fe and his experiences while visiting the city. His journey to New Mexico is part of a larger series in which Good Morning America plans to visit every state in the country and observe their bounce back following more than a year of dealing with the unique circumstances of the coronavirus pandemic.
