Later on December 10, she addressed local economic concerns related to federal policy. Haaland wrote, "This year, I made it my priority to meet New Mexicans where they are. The Luna County community relies on trade with Mexico and agriculture – two things that Trump has made more difficult and more expensive because of his tariffs. I will always fight back on policies that don’t"
