The Rio Grande Foundation marked its 25th anniversary with a gathering attended by 175 people on Saturday. The event, called the Laissez Faire Soiree, brought together supporters and sponsors to celebrate the organization's milestone.
Grover Norquist, president of Americans for Tax Reform, delivered the keynote address. He spoke about the significance of federalism and the role of state-based organizations such as the Rio Grande Foundation.
The foundation acknowledged its board of directors and recognized Paul Gessing, president of the organization. Hal Stratton, former New Mexico Attorney General and State Representative, was also credited as a co-founder of the foundation in 2000.
