The New Mexico Department of Agriculture (NMDA) has released the fourth edition of its Taste the Tradition Holiday Lookbook, an online guide designed to promote locally produced foods and gifts during the holiday season. The 38-page publication features a range of products from New Mexico farmers, ranchers, and artisans, including salsas, handcrafted seasonings, teas, wines, and natural wellness items.
The lookbook also includes holiday recipes contributed by NEW MEXICO—Taste the Tradition Chef Ambassadors Julian Griego and Becky Windels. These recipes aim to encourage residents to incorporate local ingredients into their seasonal cooking.
According to New Mexico Secretary of Agriculture Jeff Witte, "NMDA is proud to share the 2025 New Mexico Taste the Tradition Holiday Lookbook. It highlights the creativity of local producers who make New Mexico’s food and gifts unique. It’s a great way to celebrate the season while supporting those who help our state thrive."
Businesses featured in this year's edition were also part of the New Mexico State Fair Country Store. The lookbook has previously helped increase visibility and sales for small businesses across the state.
