Hunter education class opens registration in Farmington for December session

Registration is now open for a Hunter Education class in Farmington, New Mexico, scheduled for December 6-7, 2025. The course is available to individuals of any age who need hunter education certification to comply with hunting regulations in New Mexico. This instructor-led course includes lectures, videos, break-out sessions, review methods, and homework assignments.

Students aged 10 and under must be accompanied by a parent or adult during the class. Participants are required to complete the "Today's Hunter" student manual homework before attending. A free hard copy of the manual can be picked up at Merrion Oil & Gas Corporation located at 610 Reilly Ave., Farmington, NM 87401. Alternatively, it can be downloaded for free from www.hunter-ed.com/newmexico/manual/. Completed manual worksheets must be submitted upon arrival at the class.

Registration is done online through the student's Customer Id Number (CIN) Account. After logging in, students should select Hunter Education and then click on Register for Hunter Ed Classes to follow the registration prompts. As seating is limited, early registration is encouraged.

The New Mexico Department of Game and Fish oversees this educational initiative.
