U.S. Representative Teresa Leger Fernández posted a series of tweets on November 12 and 13, 2025, addressing legislative proceedings in the House and actions by the Rules Committee.

On November 12, Rep. Leger Fernández tweeted a brief welcome: "BIENVENIDA!".

Later that evening, she commented on recent legislative events, writing on November 13: "He should talk to his Rules Committee colleagues. We could have amended the bill last night, but they decided not to support my amendment."

In a subsequent post on November 13, Rep. Leger Fernández elaborated on her efforts to introduce an amendment regarding taxpayer funding and Senators subpoenaed for January 6th. She stated: "I proposed an amendment to block Republicans from funneling millions of taxpayer dollars to Senators subpoenaed for January 6th. Watch how every Republican on the Rules Committee lacked the courage to intervene."

Teresa Leger Fernández has represented New Mexico's 3rd congressional district since her initial election in 2020. In recent years, she has won several competitive races; in 2024, she defeated Sharon Clahchischilliage in the general election with approximately 41.8% of the vote compared to Clahchischilliage's 43.7%. In previous elections, Leger Fernández secured victories against Alexis Martinez Johnson both in 2022 and 2020.
