Rep. Teresa Leger Fernández, a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, has posted a series of tweets on November 7, 2025, criticizing former President Donald Trump and other political figures over issues ranging from accountability for Jeffrey Epstein’s crimes to alleged cuts in social programs.

In her first tweet at 17:14 UTC, Leger Fernández stated: "No matter where it happened or who was involved, victims of Epstein’s crimes deserve transparency and accountability. Trump and Johnson are protecting the pedophiles, but the truth must come out."

Later that evening at 21:32 UTC, she wrote: "Trump has cut everything that the people we love depend on for survival. This is cruel corruption. Visit https://t.co/uoBnoQvtIy to watch last night’s Taos Town Hall and hear about what I’m doing to fight for you."

Her third tweet at 23:49 UTC read: "FINALLY. Trump and USDA could’ve done this over a week ago. Instead, Trump has been building bathrooms and ballrooms. Here’s what Democrats have been doing."

Leger Fernández represents New Mexico in Congress and has won several recent elections against Republican opponents. In 2024, she defeated Sharon Clahchischilliage in the general election with 41.8% of the vote compared to Clahchischilliage's 43.7%. In previous years, she also secured victories over Alexis Martinez Johnson in both the 2022 (58.2% to 41.8%) and 2020 (58.7% to 41.3%) general elections.

These posts reflect ongoing debates among lawmakers about government transparency regarding high-profile criminal cases as well as policy decisions impacting public welfare programs.
