The Mega Millions jackpot for Tuesday, November 4, 2025, has reached an estimated $800 million. This marks the ninth-largest jackpot in the history of the game.

So far, six players from New Mexico have won Mega Millions prizes ranging from $1 million to $4 million. A win by a New Mexico player in this drawing would be the first time someone from the state has claimed a Mega Millions jackpot. In contrast, Powerball jackpots have been won five times in New Mexico, with amounts between $32 million and $206.9 million.

Mega Millions tickets are priced at $5 per play. In April 2025, changes were made to the game to increase prize sizes and improve odds. Each ticket now includes a random multiplier that automatically increases non-jackpot prizes by 2X, 3X, 4X, 5X or 10X.

Tickets can be purchased in 45 states as well as Washington, D.C., and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Drawings take place at 9:00 PM Mountain Time on Tuesdays and Fridays.

Since its inception in 1996, the New Mexico Lottery has generated over $1 billion for education funding. More than 155,000 students have benefited from Legislative Lottery Scholarships provided through these funds.

"To date, six New Mexico Lottery players have won Mega Millions prizes ranging from $1 million up to $4 million. If a New Mexico player wins this jackpot, it will be the first Mega Millions jackpot won in our state," said officials from the New Mexico Lottery.
