During its annual meeting on October 30, the Greater Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce (GACC) marked significant milestones for both longstanding and new members. The event included a special recognition of Molzen Corbin’s 50th year as a Chamber member.

GACC Chair Peter Lorenz and President and CEO Terri Cole highlighted Molzen Corbin’s long-term involvement. “Fifty years of partnership. Fifty years of commitment to our business community. Fifty years of believing in what we can accomplish together,” Lorenz said. “Molzen Corbin has been more than a member — they’ve been a cornerstone of our engineering community and a steadfast champion of Albuquerque’s growth.”

Del Archuleta and Kevin Eades from Molzen Corbin accepted the honor during the ceremony. Molzen Corbin is an engineering and architecture firm with nearly 100 employees, operating in Albuquerque, Las Cruces, and El Paso. The company provides civil services such as airport, transportation, drainage, water resources projects; electrical services including power instrumentation controls; and architectural design for public buildings.

Archuleta reflected on his experience since joining the company in 1975: “It’s been an honor for me, and I am so thankful for this recognition.”

Eades discussed his role chairing the Chamber’s annual New Mexico Roadrunners trip, which is scheduled next for April 2026. He described the purpose of these trips: “We are a group of business owners and advocates from the Albuquerque area, and once a year, we jump on a bus and we drive throughout New Mexico, usually to a corner of the state, and we share our mission with them,” Eades said. “We want New Mexico to be a place where you can raise a family and that you can start and grow a business. So we go out and spread that word, and at the same time, we ask that they spread it with us.” The upcoming two-day journey will visit several southeastern cities including Roswell, Artesia, Hobbs, Portales, before returning through Tucumcari.

“We usually set up some awesome tours, so it’s a great trip to network and then advocate for what the Chamber stands for,” Eades added.

The meeting also welcomed two new members: Quantinuum and Grand Canyon University. Mike Canfield, president and CEO of Valiant Consulting Group, acknowledged Dr. Zachary Vernon from Quantinuum as well as Veronica Perez and Melanie Chavez from Grand Canyon University.

“Thank you to these two new members for being a part of our community and team here at the Chamber and helping us achieve our mission,” Canfield said.
