The Albuquerque International Sunport has launched the “Knowledge Concourse,” an exhibit that showcases eight of New Mexico’s higher education institutions. The display is located on the first level of the terminal, near baggage claim, and features glass cases dedicated to each participating college and university.

The institutions represented in the exhibit are Central New Mexico Community College, Eastern New Mexico University, New Mexico Highlands University, New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology, New Mexico State University, Northern New Mexico College, University of New Mexico, and Western New Mexico University.

Mayor Keller commented on the new installation, stating, “New Mexico’s universities are shaping our future — and now their stories are front and center at the Sunport. The Knowledge Concourse highlights the students, innovation, and culture that make our state’s institutions truly world-class. It’s a unique way to welcome travelers and celebrate what keeps New Mexico moving forward.”

The Knowledge Concourse is part of the Sunport’s “Dream of Flight” terminal renovation project. The exhibit aims to offer an engaging introduction to the state’s educational opportunities for both visitors and residents as they arrive in Albuquerque.

Aviation Acting Director Manny Manriquez said, “This is about more than just beautifying a space. These showcases are a celebration of knowledge, community, and the future of our state. They also represent another exciting addition to the Dream of Flight vision, giving travelers a reason to pause, learn, and connect right as they arrive in Albuquerque.”

The exhibit is open to the public and can be viewed near baggage claim on the Sunport’s lower level. More information can be found at abqsunport.com.
