The following day, she reflected on the anniversary of a significant attack and expressed solidarity with victims and hostages. On October 7, 2025, she wrote: "Today, we remember the innocent lives lost on October 7 and the pain that continues to this day. We continue to pray for those still held as hostages after that horrific attack two years ago.
We also reaffirm our commitment to a lasting peace that returns all hostages home,".
Later the same day, Leger Fernández addressed concerns about federal funding for nutrition assistance programs. She stated: "WIC is running out of money and will stop feeding women and children if Republicans don’t bring the House back to DC.
