MountainView Regional Medical Center opens new urgent care location on Lohman Avenue

ORGANIZATIONS IN THIS STORY

MountainView Regional Medical Center has opened a new urgent care facility at 4351 E. Lohman Ave., Suite 100, in Las Cruces. The new center is located in the medical office building adjacent to the main hospital and replaces the former urgent care site on Walton, which has now closed.

According to Cindy Watkins, Director of MountainView Urgent Care Center, "Urgent Care at Lohman will provide medical care for illnesses and minor injuries that aren't life threatening but need prompt care, such as common colds, flu, minor cuts, sprains and small fractures. We can also do X-rays, lab work and treatment for rashes and infections. We will serve as a convenient alternative to an emergency room for non-life-threatening conditions with shorter wait times."

The Lohman location is open daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Patients are seen on a walk-in basis without needing appointments. For added convenience, patients can check in online for any of MountainView’s three urgent care centers through their website at MountainViewRegional.com/Urgent-Care. After reserving a spot online, patients receive a text message reminder when it is time to arrive.

MountainView also operates two other urgent care locations: one at Northrise (3485 Northrise Drive, Ste. 1) and another at Valley (1455 S. Valley Drive, St. A).
