The Grant Plant, a women-led grant consulting firm based in New Mexico, has reached a milestone by securing over $400 million in funding for its clients. Since 2003, the company has worked with a range of organizations including nonprofits, schools, health care providers, and government agencies to bring resources into communities both in New Mexico and across the country.
The Grant Plant became a member of the Greater Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce in 2023. The firm’s president and CEO, Tara Gohr, said: “This milestone reflects the trust our clients place in us and the measurable impact they create with grant funding. From economic development to education, health care and Indigenous sovereignty, the projects we’ve supported have brought critical resources that transform communities.”
Over two decades, The Grant Plant has assisted more than 100 organizations and written thousands of grant proposals. Some notable achievements include helping secure over $30 million for City Alive’s economic initiative; obtaining federal funding for SpaceValley Foundation; supporting Indigenous language preservation programs nationwide; and providing long-term support for PB&J Family Services’ early childhood education efforts.
In 2024 alone, The Grant Plant helped clients obtain $70 million in grants. The company anticipates reaching $500 million in total secured funding within two years.
The Greater Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce issued congratulations to The Grant Plant on this achievement and its ongoing work with nonprofits to benefit the community.
