Rep. Teresa Leger Fernández, a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, recently posted a series of tweets addressing former President Donald Trump, the Supreme Court, and wildfire preparedness.
On September 8, 2025, Leger Fernández wrote: "All Trump does is lie and protect his rich friends."
The following day, she commented on a Supreme Court decision: "The Supreme Court just put all Latinos in the United States at risk—even citizens." This statement was posted on September 9, 2025.
Later that same day, Leger Fernández addressed concerns about wildfire management and federal funding: "WATCH: The Forest Service Chief just refused to commit to using funds Congress gave his agency to prepare for wildfires across the west and Indian Country. People's safety, homes, and livelihoods are on the line. We can't allow Trump to play policial games with wildfires."
Leger Fernández has represented her district since winning her first election in 2020 against Alexis Martinez Johnson. She retained her seat in subsequent elections, defeating Martinez Johnson again in 2022 and Sharon Clahchischilliage in 2024.
