Seven candidates are on the ballot for the upcoming Albuquerque mayoral election scheduled for November 4. The Rio Grande Foundation, a policy think tank based in New Mexico, reached out to all candidates with an invitation to complete surveys and participate in conversations on its podcast, Tipping Point New Mexico.

The organization has published the results of these outreach efforts. According to the foundation, Mayling Armijo, Daniel Chavez, Eddie Varela, and Darren White each participated in a recorded conversation and submitted completed candidate surveys. Their interviews and survey responses are available through the foundation’s channels.

Three other candidates—Tim Keller, Louie Sanchez, and Alexander Uballez—did not respond to requests from the Rio Grande Foundation for either a survey or a podcast appearance.

The general election is set for Tuesday, November 4. A runoff is considered likely if no candidate secures a majority of votes.
