Panda Express has opened its 15th restaurant in Albuquerque, located at 2040 Gibson Blvd. SE. The opening event on August 20 included a ribbon cutting ceremony supported by the Greater Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce.
This new location marks Panda Express’ 25th restaurant in New Mexico. The company employs nearly 600 people across the state and has been recognized as one of the top workplaces in the country. In July, Panda Restaurant Group was ranked as the third-best large company to work for in the 2025 Top Workplaces list and has received similar recognition multiple times in recent years.
As part of its community engagement, Panda Express donated $1,000 to Meals on Wheels NM during the ceremony. According to Meals on Wheels Chief Advancement Officer Renee Ruybal, "accepts a $1,000 donation from Panda Express to the organization on Aug. 20." The company also supports local education through contributions to the Chamber’s Albuquerque Reads program by providing bookmarks and meal certificates for students who reach reading goals.
The Greater Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce acknowledged Panda Express for its ongoing growth and community involvement in both Albuquerque and New Mexico.
