Western New Mexico women's cross country placed 12th in LSC preseason poll

The Western New Mexico University Women's Cross Country team has been ranked 12th in the 2025 Lone Star Conference (LSC) Preseason Poll. The poll, released by the conference office, is based on votes from head coaches, sports information directors, and selected media members.

West Texas A&M secured the top position in the poll with 510 points, narrowly surpassing Dallas Baptist University for first place.

Key runners for Western New Mexico University this season include seniors Aubrey Lozoya (Albuquerque, NM/Cottonwood Classic Preparatory) and Vanessa Dominguez (Pecos, NM/Pecos High School).

The Mustangs are set to begin their season on September 6 at the UCCS Rust Buster event in Colorado Springs.
