Rob Black, Cabinet Secretary-Designate | New Mexico Economic Development Department
Outdoor recreation businesses in New Mexico are being encouraged to participate in the expanded Adventure Pitch Fest, where they will compete for $15,000 in cash prizes. The event is organized by the Outdoor Recreation Division of the New Mexico Economic Development Department (EDD) and aims to highlight innovative business ideas within the state’s outdoor sector.
Previously part of the Outdoor Economics Conference, Adventure Pitch Fest has been restructured as a stand-alone event. It seeks to provide opportunities for businesses of all sizes to present their concepts before a panel of judges and an audience that includes investors, industry leaders, and outdoor enthusiasts.
“Adventure Pitch Fest allows us to showcase creative talent from across the state,” said Rob Black, Cabinet Secretary for EDD. “The event will give the community a front-row seat to the exciting ideas that are driving our outdoor economy forward.”
Participants at the event can display their products and services while attendees have access to product demonstrations and can meet entrepreneurs behind various brands. The free event also features outdoor-themed activities aimed at attracting both seasoned enthusiasts and newcomers interested in supporting local businesses.
Applications for pitching or tabling at Adventure Pitch Fest will be accepted from September 1 through September 30. The competition is scheduled for Thursday, November 6, in Albuquerque.
