The School of Law has welcomed 108 new students as part of its Class of 2028. The orientation for incoming first-year law students took place from August 13 to August 15. The event was designed to introduce students to the academic requirements, professional standards, and resources available throughout their legal education.
Dean Camille Carey opened the three-day orientation with a welcome address. Students attended presentations on topics such as law school expectations, financial aid, registrar services, and student benefits. They also met with Student Bar Association mentors and participated in workshops focused on academic success, professional ethics, wellness, and career development.
In addition to meeting faculty, alumni, and legal professionals, the new students learned about various student organizations and professional networks that can support them during their studies.
"The School of Law is proud to welcome these future lawyers," according to a statement from the school.
