Kirtland Air Force Base is preparing to release its latest economic impact report on Wednesday, August 13. The base, which has played a significant role in New Mexico's economy since it was established in 1942, will use the report to outline the contributions of the Kirtland National Security Complex to Albuquerque and the wider region.
The event will feature Sandia National Labs Director Laura McGill and Kirtland Air Force Base Commander Col. Justin Secrest as scheduled speakers. It is set to take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Greater Albuquerque Association of Realtors located at 1635 University Blvd. NE.
