On July 24, the Greater Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce awarded Representative Joshua Hernandez a Legislative Award for his work during the 2025 regular session. The award was presented at the Chamber's July Board Meeting by GACC Chairman of the Board and Unirac Inc. CEO Peter Lorenz.

Hernandez received the "Start to Finish" Award for his efforts on the site readiness bill during the 60-day legislative session. This award signifies that the bill reached the governor's desk. Lorenz noted that New Mexico has historically lagged behind neighboring states in having sites and buildings ready for companies seeking to expand or relocate quickly. "The legislation and associated funding will help the state invest in this key piece of the economic development puzzle," Lorenz said.

Hernandez expressed that this achievement is just a beginning, pledging to continue working to keep New Mexico competitive.
