New Mexico executive committee continues work on behavioral health reform

The New Mexico Health Care Authority and the Administrative Office of the Courts will hold the second meeting of the Executive Committee under the Behavioral Health Reform and Investment Act (Senate Bill 3) on July 18, 2025. The session will take place at 490 Old Santa Fe Trail, Room 322 in Santa Fe.

This upcoming meeting follows the committee’s first gathering on June 24, 2025. The committee is working to determine how Senate Bill 3 will be structured and implemented across regions in New Mexico. Representatives from all three branches of state government, as well as community stakeholders, are participating in these efforts.

According to organizers, “The Committee continues to shape the structure, cadence, and regional implementation of this landmark legislation, bringing together all three branches of government and community stakeholders to transform behavioral health services statewide.”

Public participation is encouraged. Organizers stated: “Public participation is encouraged as we work together to build a stronger, more equitable behavioral health system for all New Mexicans.”
