The Leadership Albuquerque program for 2025-2026 is set to begin in September, with applications open until August 15. The eight-month initiative aims to develop professionals' leadership skills and increase their community engagement.

Jeremy Oswald from Citizens Bank will chair this year's program, while Leean Kravitz of Fidelity Investments will serve as vice chair. The program includes monthly educational days focusing on various topics such as K-12 education, economic development, public safety, behavioral health, energy and national defense, state and local government, Downtown transformation, tourism, culture, and quality of life.

Now in its 45th year, the program has been influential in shaping future leaders. Feedback from the class of 2025 showed that all participants would recommend the program to others. Half of the class rated it a "10" on five core aspects.

One participant noted how quickly they were able to understand Albuquerque's community assets and challenges while building a network that would have otherwise taken much longer to establish.

Program sponsors include PNM, Jaynes Corporation, French Funerals & Cremations, Citizens Bank, Fidelity Investments, Comcast and Madrid Wealth Management.
