The Silver City community is invited to attend the State Services Expo, an event organized by Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham’s administration and state agency leaders. The expo aims to provide support and resources for families affected by the Trout and Buck fires.
Scheduled for Wednesday, July 17th, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., the event will offer various services designed to aid in recovery efforts. Attendees can access emergency recovery aid, assistance with enrolling in Medicaid, SNAP, and utility assistance programs. Additionally, free childcare and early education resources will be available.
Job seekers can explore career services and state employment openings, while those interested in further education can learn about pathways to free college and adult learning opportunities. On-site support will include MVD services and tax assistance.
The expo also offers options for purchasing hunting and fishing licenses, as well as support for seniors, caregivers, and families. Health-related resources such as vaccines, WIC, foster care information, and more will be provided.
For those unable to attend in person, a live stream of the event will be available on Facebook or YouTube @GovMLG.
