The Albuquerque Isotopes have announced the introduction of closed captioning for in-house announcements at their games held at Rio Grande Credit Union Field at Isotopes Park. Fans can access these announcements through a free website, which will display the text on their smartphones. A QR code for the website will be shown on the videoboard before each event begins. This service allows fans to follow along with real-time transcriptions of announcements throughout the game.

For assistance with accessing or using the website, fans are encouraged to visit CNM Guest Services. The transcription system utilizes an AI-based Automatic Speech Recognition engine.

"Adding closed captioning is a great way to make Isotopes Park more inclusive for all," said John Traub, General Manager of the Isotopes. "This feature will enhance fans’ enjoyment and also provide a much-needed amenity for those who can benefit from such a service."

Rafe Martinez, Executive Director of Albuquerque Sign Language Academy, expressed enthusiasm about this development: "As a school that endeavors to provide greater access for all members of our community and a partner of the Isotopes, we are thrilled the ball club will be implementing closed captioning PA announcements this season. Deaf, hard of hearing and all baseball fans alike are sure to benefit from this and enjoy our great pastime more than ever at Isotopes Park."

Additionally, on Friday, August 22, the Isotopes will host ASL Night against the Las Vegas Aviators. The first 3,000 attendees will receive an Orbit Vinyl Figurine sponsored by Pepsi.
