Youth hunters from across New Mexico gathered at the NRA Whittington Center for the 2025 Youth Hunter Education Challenge. Participants engaged in eight categories to evaluate their knowledge, skills, and ethics acquired during their hunter education classes. They have been preparing diligently for the shotgun, .22 rifle, archery, muzzleloader, safety trail, wildlife ID, orienteering, and written exam categories.
"Safety is the top priority at this event!" said the organizers. Congratulations were extended to all competitors, teams, and coaches for their efforts. Appreciation was also expressed to the volunteers and NMDGF staff who organize this event annually.
