Santa Fe Community College (SFCC) is set to host a chess tournament workshop from April 8, 2025, to May 6, 2025. The event is organized by Santa Fe Chess and will take place at 6401 Richards Ave., Santa Fe, NM 87508.
The workshop aims to help participants improve their chess skills through a six-week tournament preparation course. It includes friendly competitive games where students can learn notation, clock use, and USCF rules. Group instruction will focus on strategic planning. This program is designed for players who know the basics but have little to no competition experience and is open to all ages.
The workshop sessions are scheduled weekly on Tuesdays from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The cost of participation is $129.00.
