New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham has expressed her condemnation of the arson attack on the New Mexico GOP headquarters in Albuquerque, an incident that occurred early Sunday morning. In a statement released to the public, Governor Lujan Grisham stated, "There is no excuse for political violence or vandalism of any kind, and I strongly condemn Sunday’s attack on the New Mexico Republican Party headquarters in Albuquerque." She emphasized her relief that there were no injuries as a result of the incident.
Governor Lujan Grisham further assured the public that New Mexico State Police and the Fire Marshal's Office would aid the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms in the investigation.
The attack is currently under investigation, and the authorities are working to uncover those responsible for the act of vandalism.
