Deb Haaland's campaign for New Mexico has raised over $1 million within the first week of its launch, setting a record pace for fundraising in the state. The campaign announced that contributions came from more than 20,000 donors across every county in New Mexico. This achievement highlights Haaland's strong grassroots support and her effectiveness as a fundraiser.

The top occupations among donors include educators, retirees, legal professionals, and medical workers. The average online contribution is under $50, with over 1,500 individuals committing to recurring donations averaging less than $15. These recurring contributions have already totaled more than $22,000 in sustained support.

Haaland's statewide launch tour began with an event in Albuquerque attended by over 800 people, necessitating two overflow rooms. Subsequent events in Bernalillo and Santa Fe attracted nearly 500 attendees combined. Haaland has received endorsements from Sen. Ben Ray Luján, Rep. Teresa Leger Fernandez, Rep. Melanie Stansbury, and Rep. Gabe Vasquez.

"The enthusiasm that we’ve seen over the past few days has been nothing short of incredible," said Haaland. "It shows that New Mexicans are ready to change the status quo and build a better future for themselves, their families, and our communities."

Haaland launched her campaign with a video emphasizing her commitment to lowering costs, addressing crime, and promoting healthy communities. She plans to continue traveling across the state to engage with residents about their challenges and share her solutions.

The fundraising efforts comply with New Mexico’s statute prohibiting sitting state elected officials from fundraising during the legislative session.
