President Donald J. Trump is set to visit Albuquerque, New Mexico, for a campaign rally on Thursday, October 31st. This announcement comes as New Mexico emerges as a potential battleground state with recent polls indicating a shift towards Republican support.
Republican Party of New Mexico Chairman Steve Pearce expressed enthusiasm about Trump's visit, stating, “We are honored to welcome President Donald J. Trump back to the great state of New Mexico and for him to see the tremendous support he has here.” Pearce emphasized that Trump's policies resonate with local voters who are dissatisfied with current economic conditions and border issues.
Pearce further noted that “President Trump’s policies align with traditional New Mexican values,” citing plans to eliminate taxes on Social Security and tipped wages, promote energy independence, and address border security concerns. He also mentioned key figures such as Nella Domenici, Yvette Herrell, Steve Jones, and Sharon Clahchischilliage in Congress as part of the effort to improve the state's standing.
The event will take place at CSI Aviation in Albuquerque. Doors open at 8:00 AM MDT with Trump's remarks scheduled for noon. Media credentials must be requested by October 30th.
