a. Teen Sub Committees (Schedules, Progress, Upcoming Meetings) -Teen Opportunities / Employment Event 5/25 11-4pm at Teen Center -Volunteerism (Bodhi Lewis)

Teen Opportunities event May 25 11-4: PD and Fire confirmed. Recruitment Flyer is updated and ready. Other organizations are confirmed to be attending.

Teen Steering and Volunteerism subcommittee : Meetings set for the 1st Thursday of every month. Programming and planning to start early June

6. NEW BUSINESS

a. Teen Center State Appropriation (What the teen Center needs)

Board discussion on what needs are for the teen center. Board created a list to be surveyed at the next MYAB teen nights. Teens looking for additional feedback. Lists as follows:

• Community Garden & Greenhouse

• Outdoor Furniture

• Shade Structures and Awnings

• Kitchen Dry Storage & Walk in Freezer Construction

• Teen Appropriate Playground and Outdoor Fitness Equipment

• Dance Studio- Multi Use Studio

• Audio Visual System throughout the teen center

• Soccer/Futsal Space and Field

• Decorative Fencing and Changes to the existing fencing

• Art and Mural Space

• DJ Equipment and Hardware

• Musical Instruments

b. MYAB Teen Night May 17, 2024

Teen Night Planning Complete

Teen Staff and Rec Staff to purchase food and grills for the event

• Cultural Humility Training: 10:30am-12:30pm, May 31 New Mexico is home to people from many diverse cultures, and educators must be able to meet the different needs of the children we serve.
