APD detectives have made a breakthrough in the case of the murder and robbery of Christopher Fallen, who was found bound and asphyxiated in his home near Carlisle Blvd. and Constitution Ave., N.E. Daniel Lee Hadders, 27, was arrested in connection with the crime, as reported by APD.
According to the investigation, Fallen's body was discovered by his business partners on Feb. 6, showing signs of a violent death. Fallen, 48, was found with his head wrapped in tape, a belt around his neck, and his hands and shins bound with duct tape, leading to his death by asphyxiation.
The case took a turn when it was revealed that Fallen had taken in a roommate, Andres Chavez, who later confessed to having a relationship with Fallen. Chavez mentioned meeting Fallen through a dating app and staying at his home while Fallen supported him in finding a job. Chavez's last visit to Fallen's home was on Feb. 1, before the tragic events unfolded.
Subsequent investigations led to the discovery of important evidence linking Hadders and Chavez to the crime. Detectives found communication records between the two suspects, as well as a disturbing photo taken on Feb. 3 showing Fallen bound and covered in blood. This evidence prompted the issuance of arrest warrants for both Chavez and Hadders, who now face a multitude of charges related to the murder, robbery, and tampering with evidence.
While Chavez was later found deceased in El Paso from an overdose, Hadders remains in custody, providing some closure to the tragic case of Christopher Fallen's untimely death.
