The meeting was called to order at 5:35 pm by Chair Michael Garcia.

a. Motion: Member Spencer moved, seconded by Member Aaboe to approve the agenda as amended to remove item 7.d (Discussion on Placement of Bike Lanes on Streets with Parking) and item 8.c (Technical Review)

b. Motion: Member Spencer moved, seconded by Member Pilcher to approve the minutes as amended. Amendment is to include YouTube link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hqcXndB6HE8

5. COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE PUBLIC

a. Lisa Ferende volunteer with the Santa Fe Watershed Association takes care of the River Trail from Frenchy’s Field to Siler Bridge. This is my first meeting and I’m here to learn more and voice concern about safety. The bikes tend to go really fast and partly because there is a nice little slope. What does BPAC tend on doing to make it safer for everyone?

Calling on the City Manager to Designate Appropriate Entities and Departments Within the City to Ensure Safe and Accessible Use of Bicycle and Pedestrian Facilities by Establishing a Regular Inspection Schedule for Bicycle And Pedestrian Infrastructure and Developing and Maintaining a Geographic Information System Inventory for Recording the Physical Condition of Bicycle and Pedestrian Infrastructure; and Calling on the Mayor to Include the Ongoing Maintenance of Bicycle and Pedestrian Infrastructure in His Proposed Annual Budget.
