New Mexico State University's Office of Experiential Learning is excited to announce that they will be hosting the 20th annual Employment Extravaganza Career Fair on March 19. The event, which will be held at the Corbett Center Student Union on NMSU's Las Cruces campus, will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
"We are thrilled to be organizing the 20th annual Employment Extravaganza Career Fair," said the spokesperson from the Office of Experiential Learning. "This event provides an excellent opportunity for NMSU students to connect with potential employers and explore available positions."
The Employment Extravaganza Career Fair is open to all current NMSU students, alumni, and the general public. With a wide range of employers attending, participants will have the chance to engage with local and regional businesses and discuss potential employment opportunities.
"We have a diverse group of employers scheduled to attend this year's fair," stated the spokesperson. "Some of the notable companies include Vaxcom Services, LLC, City of Las Cruces Fire Department, Naval Surface Warfare Center-Port Hueneme Division, and Indian Health Service-Nursing."
To make the most of the event, it is recommended that students come prepared by researching potential employers in advance and dressing professionally. The Student Success Center is also available to provide assistance with resume review and interview preparation.
"We encourage students to have their resumes up-to-date and ready to distribute during the fair," advised the spokesperson. "The Student Success Center is an excellent resource for students seeking guidance on career preparation."
Employers who are interested in attending the Employment Extravaganza Career Fair can register online through Handshake, an online platform for career services. Registration will be open until March 1 or until the fair reaches capacity.
"For employers who need assistance with the registration process or have any questions about the event, our Office of Experiential Learning is here to help," assured the spokesperson. "They can be reached at 575-646-1631 or employer@nmsu.edu."
The Employment Extravaganza Career Fair promises to be a valuable opportunity for NMSU students and the local community to connect with potential employers. Participants are encouraged to visit the Office of Experiential Learning's website for the most up-to-date list of employers attending the fair.
