CNM Ingenuity and MediaU collaborate for filmmaker marketing and distribution course

Central New Mexico Community College (CNM) has announced a collaboration with CNM Ingenuity and MediaU to offer valuable insights to filmmakers. The aim is to enhance their reach and connect with target audiences through a comprehensive course that explores the complexities of movie marketing and distribution strategies.

Russell Schwartz and Katherine MacDonald, seasoned Hollywood movie marketing executives, will lead this comprehensive course. They will cover key aspects such as identifying target audiences, crafting press kits, implementing cost-effective marketing strategies, and formulating comprehensive marketing plans. According to a press release by CNM, the Marketing and Distribution Roadmap course, facilitated by these industry experts, is now accessible on Unmudl. Unmudl is a platform that connects learners with non-credit courses from leading institutions.

Adam Leipzig, CEO of MediaU expressed his enthusiasm about the partnership: "We’re incredibly excited to partner with CNM Ingenuity to provide this very practical mentoring and training experience, especially with the continued growth of filmmaking and production in New Mexico," according to a press release by CNM.

Leipzig also emphasized the importance of expanding their offerings: "We want to continue to expand the courses and programs that we offer at MediaU and through CNM and Unmudl so that creative people who are motivated and ready to do the work can have successful careers," he said. "Our entire approach is to tackle filmmaking in a practical way, and we are already building more courses to help give students the tools so they can make a living doing what they love."

According to the About webpage provided by MediaU, it offers programs that provide engaging and current training content. These cater both executives seeking skill advancement as well as creatives aiming to enhance their filmmaking capabilities. The custom programs for executives focus on skill and business development while the courses for creatives aim at facilitating breakthroughs, film discovery, and acquisition of employable skills.
