CNM Ingenuity introduces the new President and Vice President

CNM Ingenuity, the economic development branch of Central New Mexico Community College, has announced the appointment of Mark J. Fidel as the new President of its Board of Directors and Henry South as Vice President. The news was released on September 20, 2023. CNM Ingenuity offers accelerated educational and training programs, support for entrepreneurs, and collaborative initiatives.

Mark J. Fidel brings a wealth of experience to his new role. With a 17-year career in cybersecurity, Fidel co-founded CAaNES, LLC, which later became RiskSense, Inc. In 2021, the company was acquired by Ivanti, Inc. Fidel also runs a consulting firm that specializes in assisting technology companies with business development, operational efficiency, and cyber risk management. He is involved in various boards, including the Board of Trustees for the Bosque School and the Board of Directors for the New Mexico Civil Legal Service Commission.

Henry South, the new Vice President, has 20 years of experience as a certified public accountant. He has managed Atkinson & Co. Ltd and has expertise in tax consulting, business valuation, accounting, and management advice. South has worked with privately owned businesses, estates, individuals, and nonprofits.

Kyle Lee, CEO of Ingenuity, expressed gratitude to Lorna Wiggins, the previous President of the CNM Ingenuity board, for her guidance during the challenging years of COVID. Lee is enthusiastic about working with Fidel and South, stating that they will help change lives and build communities with Ingenuity's forward-thinking strategic plan.
