Maxine (Salas) Melendez, age 77, born in Jemez, New Mexico and a resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away on April 15, 2023. Maxine is survived by her children, son Ruben Melendez and wife, Rosa, daughter Nadine Melendez and husband, Mirsad, and son, Adam Melendez; nine grandchildren; brother Arthur Salas; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur, and Vitalia Salas, brother, Phillip Michael Salas, and sister Margaret Salas. Visitation for will be held at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at Holy Family Catholic Church 562 Atrisco Dr. SW. with a Rosary to be recited at 8:30a.m. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated by Father Patrick at 9:00 a.m. Pallbearers will be Ruben Jr., Adam Melendez, Mirsad, Ruben lll, Eric, and Mike Salas. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jovanni Melendez, and Jorge Gonzalez.
